West
Please forgive me; I think I'm in the wrong place. My Roxio Creator Classic is Version 6.2.0.112. Judging from my having to re-register, I'm guessing that I was previously registered and a participant in a different Roxio forum. My question is this: Are my old Take 2 cd's not usable at all? I have some from January 2002 on which I would so love to search for a particular email that was lost in a crash around that time and that I just *might* have saved on one of these cds. I'm also having difficulty viewing or opening documents or emails in regular backups, and I'm wondering if this could be because they were burned using an earlier version of Roxio. Thanks. gi7omy
Unfortunately Take2 was dropped with ECD 5.1 (it was in 5 but wouldn't work with Windows XP)

If you still have your ECDC 5 CD, you could install Take Two (on a Windows 2000 or earlier system) and explore your backups. Otherwise, you could make a Take Two recovery diskette, and do a restore of your image to a different HD and access the files that way. But, without Take Two installed, or restoring the image to a drive, there's no good way to access the files. If you need help creating a recovery system with the restore.exe program, let us know.
