Mydvd - How To Change Locked "start Of Movie" Chapter?

lyradd

Question

I have a dvd that I'm using to create another with music and more chapters (the original is on a DVD-R disc). The dvd has one chapter and it is "locked" and is the "start of movie" chapter. I want to replace the screen shot, for the "locked" chapter, that is currently on this dvd but I'm not having any luck. Thanks!

A little more info...I made the original dvd from a VHS tape on an LG DVD Recorder/Player and VCR Combo. The unit added one chapter and that is what I am trying to change. The disc has been finalized.

Need more info. What application are you using? MyDVD can edit a DVD VR disc although I've never tried that. As for changing the the thumbnail, just Right click on the button and choose 'Edit Thumbnail'. I've never had a problem.

I'm using EMC 10, MyDVD. I used the task "Add New Movie" and did so from my DVD-R disk. I proceded to add several chapters and a menu. I was hoping to create a new DVD with music, new chapters and menu. I did notice that I can't edit the other thumbnails that I added, the choice is grayed out. Maybe I'm using the wrong method to do this. I'm new to this program so bear with me. Thanks!

Don't think that would be a good way to do it. The DVD would be way too slow to read the files.

Try copying the video_ts folder to your hard drive. Doesn't matter where as long as you remember wher you put it. :) Open MyDVD and then add that to your project. Editing should be done in Videowave first. If you aren't planning to do a lot of editing, you can add the folder directly to MyDVD and them use 'edit movie' function, too. If all you want to do is edit the menu, etc., just start with MyDVD.
