Emc 10 Update Install Fails

Easy Media Creator 10 Suite Version: 1.0.044 (Build: 100B44D, R03)

 

I noticed that there is an update available (here) to version:

 

Easy Media Creator 10 ver. 10.1.226 (Build : 112B62A, R03)

 

I downloaded this and tried to install it and it failed leaving the old install unusable as well. I had to do a Clean Removal (here) and I tried installing just the update. This failed as well and had to do the Clean Removal again.

 

I just reinstalled the original version and this is working. Is there something anyone can suggest to get the update installed?

Version 10.1 fixes the crossfade transition in CD Creator. The function is still nowhere near as good as it was in previous versions, but version 10's was unusable. An update to 10.1 helps resolve an audible clipping error that occurred in 10.0.

Nevermind. The update didn't fix the clipping error during a crossfade.

I did notice that but Fixes are not new features. I just talked to support and they said that the update was not needed. Thanks.

Don't install the new 10.1 update if you want to use .JWL label files you've made and saved with EMC 8, 9, or 10.0
