Mp3 Encoder

rdbrannon

Question

Hello,

I installed EMC 7 DVD that came with my DVD burner. When I registered, I got a message that I could download for free, an MP3 Encoder, which the message said, would allow one to convert MP3 files to WAV, etc. I downloaded and installed it, but can find no way to access it or how to access it? Does anyone know?

I also can't get into technicla support, even though I registered. How does one get into technical support?

:) Bob

Thanks... The docs for EMC "software" said register and then DL the encoder so I took that to mean reg the "software"...

Thanks for the info...

I did the 'post email to Mad Dog support form' after searching for the mysteriously evasive MP3 encoder at Mad Dog after registering... I guess they don't answer support questions either..... :)

Can anybody tell me how YOU got the mp3 encoder from Mad Dog? (link?)

I can rip with other software but I like the Roxio package and would rather use it...

Thanks...

J. Clyde

Where did you find it? I have the 7.5 bundled with Mad Dog DVD burner. The 'help file' said register and I could download the encoder. Didn't say crap about from where...... Nothing on the website (pukesite) told me either...

Thanks in advance

Hey Clyde! Support for the software, bundled with DVD burners, comes from the burner manufacturer, not Roxio.

Clyde, I own Roxio 4,5,6,7.5,8. I use the Free Exact Audio Copy ( EAC) with the Free Lame Encoder for MP3. It's harder to set up, and probably takes longer to encode and has error correction. There's a reason I use it, the quality of the MP3 created, 192 or above VBR.

I don't use his Profiles. Run it on XP SP2, system ASPI and have no problems.

Download and install EAC V0.95 beta 4.

If you plan to create MP3s, download the best MP3 encoder on the planet, LAME 3.90.3
