Transparent Background Text For Overlay

Willard M

Question

I have created some text in Photoshop Elements with a transparent background and saved as a .png file. I want to use it as an overlay on one of the pics in my movie. When I try to put the .png file into EMC as an overlay the transparent background disappears. Is this possible? I know EMC 9 has some text that I could use but I want a particular font not available in EMC and I want to control the transparency of the text.ThanksWillard M

I created a new .png text file in Photoshop Elements with transparent background. I then opened the .png file in Photosuite and saved with a different file name. I then pasted it as an overlay onto one of my movie pictures and it all worked perfectly. The transparent background was maintained.

I need to go back to my original .png file to see if I goofed it up and that properly saved it would have worked first time around.

I also was able to use the settings in EMC 9 to change transparency and to Fly the overlay text in and around at will.

What a great program. If I could just learn it all.

Thanks for your reply Malatekid
