How Do I Stop "roxio Hard Drive Watcher 9" ?

fritztastic

Question

Hi,

I'm attempting to install a product for work--an Outlook add-on. However, I receive the "Files in Use" error; and that I need to close the "Roxio Hard Drive Watcher 9."

1) Is there a way to disable Hard Drive Watcher?

2) What is this program anyway? Can I just delete it?

Thanks for your help!!

Cheers,

Fritz

In reverse order -

no, unfortunately it can't be deleted

It's watching for media files and cataloguing them

To disable, run msconfig and clear the checkbox for RoxWatch in the start section, reboot and tell the nag screen not to ask again
