Ska
Good evening, I am new to this forum and hope I am posting in the right area. I have Roxio Easy Creator 6, which I know is old. For the first time I am having a problem and hope someone here can help. I tried to add a CD to my library and burn a copy yet when I played it from the library, there is no sound. I checked random songs in my library and they all play without a problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
gi7omy
Does the original CD play directly from the drive? Also, how did you make the copy (what part of the suite and did you rip the CD first or do a straight copy of it?)
Ska
Does not play directly from the drive either. First I burned a copy without saving to the library and when that did not work; saved it to library and then tried to burn from that. Did this all through audio central; if that is what you meant by which part of the suite. Sorry for being so naive (sounds better than dumb, lol) Have a great day. tbrewst
Did you try playing the original from another app other than Audio Central, say Windows Media Player? If it doesn't play from there either then you've probably got a problem with your settings in your sound card or in Windows. If it plays from there than I'd try a repair of your Roxio installation. Ska
Tb, thank you for suggesting I check. I did so and because the way it is Roxio opens all the music (don't even have choice of choosing WMP) and almost fell off my chair when it played from the disk and then transferred 1 song to test saving to library and it too played. Don't know if it was just a bad night for Roxio the other night or what. Thought maybe the spysweeper was the problem, so shut that down at first tonight and when it played turned spysweeper back on and it still played. Thank you. Ska
Tb, "ghost in the machine"? lol think it was a movie and might be where my p/c got the idea. Hoping it found a permanent home elsewhere. Keeping my fingers crossed for when I try it again tonight. Thank you again. S
