Blue Column And Yellow Lines Distorting Video & Menu

JustNewListings.com

Question

Just loaded up roxio 9 on my windows xp and there is giant blue column on the menu and a bunch of moving yellow lines in background of the movie uploaded. I thought maybe this is a sample software and you have to purchase it again somehow to get the real version that is not distorted. But this is paid for already. It's like watermarks on photography so nobody uses the photos by how messed up they are.

WTF is going on? How do I fix this? I have inspiron E1505. What do I need to upgrade and how do I find it/do it?

Okay so I've gone to the drivers page and there are bunch to choose from . Do I download them all or just the intel...but supposedly intel's is not up to the task (see comments above). Or is this a better intel driver that I'm updating or replacing?

Here's the list...I just downloaded the intel since that is native to the pc.

Radeon Mobility X1300

Radeon Mobility X1400

AVerMedia - Driver

Applies to: M038 - External USB PAL-SECAM Analog TV Tuner

Intel - Driver

Applies to:

945GM Graphics Controller

Lumanate - Driver

Applies to:

TVT8 : USB External NTSC-ATSC Combo TV Tuner

nVidia - Driver

Applies to:

GeForce Go 7300

Sonic Solutions - Patch/Upgrade

Applies to:

CinePlayer 3.x

It will have to be the Intel one (that's what you have in your laptop) - but double check anyway

Right click anywhere on the empty desktop, go to properties, advanced, settings, adaptor and it will tell you the make and model that you need.

The Cineplayer patch should also be relevant

Why would you think it was sample software when you had to buy it??

Your problem is almost certainly the graphics in the Dell - Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (the Intel graphics are not really up to the task)

Try switching to software rendering in the tools section and also update the drivers and the DirectX (from Microsoft)

In "tools" section of roxio I see nothing that says software rendering. Will have to look into drivers and microsoft tonight when kids are down.

I believe that Daithi is thinking you are talking about seeing the blue lines in MyDVD. That is where you would change to Software mode by clicking on Tools/Options.

You need to explain a little more about your problem. It sounds like your video card, or drivers, is a problem.
