Before I Buy

montijo

Question

PhotoShow Deluxe 3 came with my computer. It was so easy I thought making the project was the easiest thing ever. That was until I tried watching it on my DVD player. None of the special effects or all of the music transfered to the disk. Before I buy PhotoShow 5 I would like to know if, once I create the project that I want, the whole project will transfer to disk. I downloaded the 15 day free trial but it wont let you export without purchasing. I don't want to purchase before I know if the program will export everything I create on the computer to the DVD. I have been working on this for weeks and I need it completed in two days. I have purchased a Pinnacle program but I can't seem to get it installed on my computer. Also, does the actual PhotoShow5 come with more then what is offered in the trail.

I would not recommend Photoshow 5 if you are planning to use the DVD feature to playback on the tv. I have had nothing but problems and frustrations. The Photoshow 5 has beautiful graphics and transitions, but you can't share it with anyone unless they come watch it on your computer. Even still, I have had problems trying to burn the DVD and the CD feature. It also did not effectively transfer my music properly. I am really disappointed in this because it does not deliver what it advertises. That is my experience and my opinion.

Roxio has recently acquired the rights to Simple Star Products. During this transitional time, there were a few errors posted on the Simple Star site. Some pages contained a promotional price for PhotoShow 5 that is no longer available. These pages should have been removed or updated. This has now been corrected. For current pricing, and to get the latest version of PhotoShow, please call our Inside Sales Line at 1-866-280-7694 or visit our website at www.roxio.com.

What if you already just recently bought it and can't get in?

Error Message: Photoshow has experience an unexpected error and will close now.

I can't tell you if the full program gives you more then the trial because I have never used the trial. I have not had any problem either burning to a DVD or exporting it to my computer. I have done it both ways. Maybe you could give us the stats on your computer so we could have an idea whether it will do what you want. It isn't as versital as using Roxio's EMC products, however, it is much simpler, if that is what you are looking for.

With PhotoShow Deluxe 3 you could only make a VCD. This type of disc only played a limited version of your show. With PhotoShow 5 you can burn a DVD of your entire show. However, due to the nature of PhotoShow Deluxe 3, your shows will not transfer. They will have to be remade in PhotoShow 5.
