Compatibility Of Spindoctor

rsbent

Question

I have an old Toast, v5 with SpinDoctor 1.5.1. I have copied a lot of vinyl ages ago and using SD i have established and named the tracks. I want to copy these into iTunes but don't want to have the hassle of creating the tracks and names again. If i upgrade will it open the AIFF files showing the tracks and allowing me to get them with the info. into iTunes?

That's great. You can either drag the tracks from SD to the Finder or direct into the iTunes window. iTunes accepts the track name but you then have to label them with artist album etc as it willl not lok them up with Gracenotes and tells you the tracks have not been imported using itunes. For what i need i will do this with all my albums, It'll keep me quiet for a while!

love the car, I used to have a 1965 3000 MkIII then i got married.

The new Spin Doctor can open the AIFF files but I doubt if it will recognize the track info and markers. However, I've never tried it. I believe your version of Spin Doctor allowed dragging tracks to the Finder to copy them, from which they could be added to iTunes.
