I JUST UPGRADED TO EMC8. I WANTED TO BURN A MP3 DISK. WHEN I DRAG MP3'S TO THE SCREEN IT WILL ONLY LET ME ADD 15 TO 18 SONGS AND THEN TELLS ME THE DISK IS FULL. IN EMC 7.5 I COULD GET BETWEEN 105 TO 122 SONGS. CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHAT I AM DOING WRONG? IN EMC 7.5 ALL I HAD TO DO WAS OPEN THE MP3 BURN SCREEN. IN THE OPTIONS SCREEN IT IS SET TO MP3.

Look at the project settings. Sounds more like an audio CD instead of an MP3 disc. Are you using the HOME application? I prefer using the new Music Disc Creator. It has many more options. From HOME click on AUDIO and then ADVANCED PROJECTS.

Yes I am using home. I have just now looked at the advanced project and It looks good. Now if I drag and drop mp3's will it burn in mp3? If so thanks for your help. I was great in EMC 7.5. Now I have to learn allover again. I am even having troubles with getting 7.5 project to work in EMC 8.

Yes, click MP3/WMA disc. This will create an MP3 disc with a playlist. It will also use the TAG ID info if you have it in the MP3s. If you don't, then you can use Gracenotes to look up artist, album, title, etc.

FYI,you can't use projects from 7.5 in 8.In 7.5 they were called .rcl,in 8 they're called .dmsa.The two aren't interchangable.

THAT WAS A LOT OF WASTED TIME. I AM TALKING OF HOURS OF TIME. ROXIO SHOULD COME UP WITH A FIX FOR THIS. I HAVE A LOT OF VEDIOS THAT I SAVED AS PROJECTS, WEDDINGS, BIRTHDAYS .......

Terry was referring to AUDIO projects created in Creator Classic can not be opened in Music Disc Creator.

 

Videowave 7 projects can be open in Videowave 8. Just that some transitions may not translate correctly and Pan/Zoom may have to be redone. Some people have reported files that would not open at all. The only way you will know if your V7 Videowave project will open or not is to try it.
