Audio Length In Menus

Question

Hi all.

I was trying to lengthen the time my custom audio played in a menu for a production I was making. I read this pinned post.

I like at least 4 chapter thumbnails to appear on a given menu screen. So I went through the available menu styles in EMC 10, and I noticed that about a half dozen have default audio lengths of 60 seconds (or a little over).

So, if you are like me and you change the menu background anyway and you use custom audio menu snippets that last around a minute, you can consider using one of the seven styles listed below that have a combination of 4 or more chapter thumbnails and at least 60 seconds of menu audio as a default time. That way you won't have to worry about the menu's default audio setting being to short for your production. Just right click> change menu audio and select your sound.

As you are going through the list of menu styles, you may also want to consider the number of movies that the style allows by default in the opening menu screen, and the "border" that surrounds the thumbnails in a given menu style.

The styles I have found with at least 4 chapter thumbnails/screen and at least 60 seconds of audio are i) Business; ii) Cruise; iii) Droplet; iv) Leaves; v) Snowman; vi) Stripe; and vii) Wedding.

Hope this helps.
