How To Convert Mod Files To Something Else

I bought a new Canon FS100 and the file extension is a MOD which Roxio EMC 10 cannot see. Even though the format is MPEG2 I cannot import these files into VideoWave. I tried renaming the extensions to mpg and mpeg2 but still no success.

Besides having to buy a converter program do I have any other options?

Thanks, I will try it. Does it matter if the files are already downloaded from the flash card to my hard drive?

No, it does not. SDCopy is a very simple app. Just a place for Source and destination. It also can correct the 16:9 if you shoot in widescreen. That was an issue with JVC, but you may have to experiment with the Canon files with that option.

Thank you so much for the help! I used SD copy and it quickly and flawlessly converted all my mod files to mpg files and I was able to import them into Roxio VW.
