4gb File Limit ! Not.

Question

hi,

i'm right peeved off at the moment. I'm using v7.1.0 and bought some dual layer DVD's to try out, as i wanted to backup a lot of data.

My system is Pro all the way. XP Pro, and all partitions are NTFS - limitless files sizes....

I do an NTbackup and make a single 8gb backup file. All fine and dandy.

I put a DL dvd in and EMC recognizes it all, with room to spare. No problems. I add my single file to the project and tell it to burn, but what does it do? It tells me to get lost as my 'system' has a 4gb file limit and it won't be readable and thus refuses to burn it!!

Answers on a postcard please....

thanks,

Burning 101: You magnetic media File System doesn't mean squat!

Change your Disc File System to UDF – No Bridge to burn the files. You are currently set to Joliet and it has a 4gb limit as well as many other limitations.
