sorry i took so long to respond I did what you said as far as selecting video file and selecting mpg2 when i clicked on create video file it doesn't even start to encode it shows

File name: production 1

total duration: 0 hrs, 2 min, 55sec. 5 frames

completed: 0 hrs, 0min, 0 sec. , 0 frames - 0%

available space on c:/ 123.76gb

In Video Wave, look at the top of the preview screen and select the icon that looks like an old time film reel (output as). Select video file and then select "mpg2 for DVD best quality". Click on Create Video File.

If it does not encode to the end, there is something wrong with the project. It could be anything - bad audio, bad image, bad transition, bad timing around the transition, bad video file. Note the time it hangs and look at that time in the timeline. You should see something going on in that time frame.

If it encodes to the end, then close Video Wave, open My DVD and add that mpg2 file as the movie. Encode to the ISO file. It will go quickly because the video file is already DVD compliant -- you will see a gray screen during that part of the encoding.

Go as far as you can with the above and post back where you see a problem.

Please respond to the questions and suggestions. We are still not sure where you go the music and the format of the music. What format is the video file?

Please, no more responses like "it just freezes". That doesn't tell us anything.

Are yuo sure it freezes? Set it up and then walk away for a half hour. You should see some progress there. It not, please let us know - not just it freezes.

Do you have the full version of Easy Media Creator or do you have a version of the program that came on your computer? My frustration level is low today so if you want to continue the dialog, please respond with more information than what you have been. Give us both the successes and the failures. Those are both important.

The 0% indicates that it's having an issue rendering your video. That's usually resolved by updating your video card/chip drivers to the most current version available. Make sure you get them from the maker of your video card. Don't use Windows to check for updated ones.

If you already have the most current driver installed, try uninstalling it, reboot, then re-install.

You need to provide more information than your car won't start.

There are 32+ applications in the suite. List the program you used, the steps that you took to create your production, and your system specs.

yes thats what i did but it does not burn at all the program freezes

At what point does it freeze? Are there any error messages? Please supply as much information as possible.

Have you tried to burn to an iso image file and then use disc copier to burn to DVD?

Can you output your slideshow to an mpeg file from Videowave?

I just tried using video wave and burning with my dvd and as soon as it goes to burn it feezes

yes thats what i did but it does not burn at all the program freezes

Remember no DRM protected files are allowed - including audio files. I doubt if you would have been able to load and edit any DRM protected video files.

In what format are the images you are using? Where did your get the music you are using? If the music is downloaded it may be copy protected and not work

You should be using Videowave for creating your slideshow and then myDVD to burn to DVD. The slideshow wizard seems to cause all sorts of problems and is limited in what it can do

Here is a link from the Tips & Tricks forum that might help
