Best Way To Uninstall Emc 10

Greetings.

 

I have Windows XP Professional OS on a Dell desktop.

 

I'm told that doing an "uninstall" with the Microsoft utilities still leaves lots of EMC junk in the registry. (I don't know how to manage my registry) I'm told that there is a Microsoft free download utility that helps remove everything related to EMC when doing an uninstall.

 

Anyone know what the name of this utility is? And where can I get it? at Microsoft.com?

There is no such Microsoft Utility, as far as I know. Publishing a utility to remove a Roxio program suite would not be in line with Microsoft policy, so I wouldn't expect to find such a utility.

If you are referring to the Microsoft Install Clean Up tool, it doesn't actually 'remove' anything. All that does is remove an application from the installed app 'list'. It does not remove any files nor does it remove any registry entries that application may have put there.
