when i press the capture video button it comes up with this error straight away , the following codecs must be activated before using the application mpeg 2 .

why does this happen and do you have to have your cam corder pluged in first or not thanks.

Activation of codecs is suppose to be invisible in EMC10. Turn off any firewalls, spyware and virus programs and try again.

I'm curious what happens if you try to load an mpeg2 file into MyDVD. Do you get the same error?

Just tried what you recomended and no difference still no luck still want acctivate.

This indicates that you may have some leftover setting from an earlier application on your PC.

 

You will need to run the Clean Install procedure to clear this out: Here
