tbrewst
Ok,first off I'll admit I should probably know this one already.Anyways,to change the avatar does the pic have to be in an online location or can I use a pic off my harddrive.I've tried it and it says it changes but then the area is just blank under my name. Thanks ahead of time. Still playing with mine but you can use one of your hd. I think it can only be something like 90x90 or near that. It should resize it if not. As for animated avatars, I have had no luck at all. I thought it was 900x900 pixels, and I know that's what I read, because that's what I cut it to, so I guess it edited it down. Try going into My Controls (see right-top of page), in left-hand column, personal profile > edit avatar, and I find a place for both a URL and a place to browse on my computer to upload things. tbrewst
Ok,I think I know what's up now.I only have a place for a url, nothing to browse and upload.Must just be another one of those things that only a few people have, like the ability to include attachments.I'm beginning to like these new boards less and less.Things I could do on the old ones I no longer have the ability to do. Thanks for the heads up Lynn.

Unfortunately for now we have the upload an avatar limited to a small number of digital gurus, we may open this up in the future so as long as it is not abused. tbrewst
True, but the pics are small so you can store a bunch. And besides,it's free. .And unless we all get the upload option it's about all we can do.
