Can You Burn To A Verbatim Dual Layer Disc?

I just discovered the tab, where you can set the media type.

I set it to DVD-DL.

It shows: "remaining space 800Mb".

I click on option.

It shows. " 38% compression". Same as the DVD.

Is that an error. Does Options not work when there's still space on the disc? I am only interested in non-compressed discs. It would be weird to compress a file that doesn't even take the whole space at full size.

Please explain.

Thank you.

Choose DVD video from VIDEO_TS and select your VIDEO_TS folder.

Do not click options, because you want the entire content.

Insert the blank DL disc and wait a few seconds for it to be recognized.

Click the burn button.

Toast automatically recognizes that DL media is inserted and does not do any compression. The disc burning begins.
