Emc 9 - Drag To Disk "no Recorder"

Tom#66

Question

The desktop Roxio symbol for Drag to Disk says "No Recorder" and does not see any of my two drives (1- DVD-R/CD- R/W; 2- dvd- +RW). It is the trial version that came with my Dell Vostro 400 (Windows X P = Home Edition). Dell support on this is WORTHLESS. They cannot fix the problem. I know that I should show a drive letter instead of the "No Recorder since I have the idential software on my new Dell laptop also with Windows XP.

How can I fix this? Roxio support has not responded in 5 days!

Thanks!

You do not have a trial version, you have an OEM version. The trial version of EMC 9 does not have Drag to disc. If the reponse you got above does not fix the issue, go to the Dell site and see if they have any fixes/updates for that OEM.
