Videowave9 Fails To Render

EMS9-911

Question

Hi -

I have an HP Pavillion Desktop with Dual-core Athlon CPU (3800+), 3GB RAM, NVidia GeForce 6150LE Gfx. I have used many of the EMC9 apps successfully, but Videowave9 will not output a video.

I have 16 still images with no transitions and a 5 minute MP3 file in the music track. When I use the make movie button, it does not matter what type of Video File copy I have selected, the "render" dialog box opens and it hangs having complete no part of the video.

This is extremely frustrating and I am open to any ideas, except reinstalling the program. As I said, other components are working fine.

Thank you for your reply.

Struggling.

You should follow the Clean Install procedures – Here

Thank you for the tip. I wasted about 1 hour following the clean install procedure verbatum. It should be noted that I am not a novice user.

Anyhow, the system is still hanging during the output function. More relavent facts:

1) On the "render" dialog box, it shows the folowing data...

- File Name : APC_TTS-2.mpg

- Total Duration: 0 hr, 5 min, 20sec, 0 frames (my production has 38 jpg pgotos with no transitions synced to an mp3 file)

- Completed: 0 hr, 0 min, 0 sec, 0 frames - 0%

- Available space on K:\ 101.16GB

2) If I let this application run for an hour, your would think therer would be progress but none.

3) When I open Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+DEL) the Process Tab shows VideoWave9.eve using 50% of the CPU.

4) The only other possible relavent HW fact is that my system HDD is running on a simple mirror raid set controlled by a Steelvine Processor, manufactured by Silicon Image...On the Processes Tab - Steelvine.exe can often show ~50% of CPU utilization also.

Any ideas? I will need to pay a professional to get this done soon (by Weds 13 August).

Thanks for your response... EMS9-911

Try again after removing the mp3 file that you've added to see if that is the problem. You cannot use music files that you have downloaded from an on-line music store directly in this program. They are protected; read the agreement.

If it still doesn't work, delete the first image to see if there is something wrong there. Where did you get the images? If you scanned them, did you do so at a high resolution? You might try scanning them at a lower resolution or you may want to lower the resolution using Photosuite or something like Photoshop.

I'm assuming that when you say "Make movie button" that you are using the "Out as" button that takes you to a make movie window.
