Mydvd Freezes

jsklar

Question

After working smoothly for 4 months, my Easy Media Creator 10 is acting up. While editing a project it slows down to a snails pace where I have to wait 4-5 minutes after each command. And the biggest problem is that when I add a new photo or video to the project the image will freeze. The audio continues normally but the image does not change.

I have been using Microsoft Movie Maker to import the VHS format since Roxio Easy Media Creator couldn't do it; it would freeze. This combination had worked well until the last couple of weeks.

Hard to tell what's causing this problem. First, I'd do a defrag of the hard drive. Then I'd do a few different spyware scans.

Some registry cleaners may cause problems but I don't recall them being the same problem you mention. If all else fails you can try a repair install.

Also, in VW, check under Tools – Options – Render and set it to Software.

If that improves speed, update your Video Card drivers and try Hardware Render again.

Jim,

I defragged the hard drive but that did not make any difference. What is VW?
