Re-install Problems

My EMC 8 worked fine for a while, and then it died on me (I couldn't bring up the program anymore). So I uninstalled EMC 8 (control panel -> add/remove -> etc.) and tried to reinstall, but it gives me the following error:

 

"Error 1035. Error reading from file D:\program files\roxio\easy media creator\8\videoUI\VUIAudioVideoMMPlugIn.dll".

 

I have no idea what this is. Can anyone please help me?

Can't be sure but see what's leftover in the C:\documents and settings\all users\Application Date\Roxio folder. If you see a Videowave8 folder, delete it and reboot, than reinstall. You'll need to show hidden files to see the Application Date folder.
