Eyetv Chapeter Markers - This Is How To Do It

efredl

Question

Both Roxio & Elgato bite when it comes to telling how something's done but here's a way to get Chapter Markers to stay put when you burn using Toast 9.

G5 2.5 running 10.4.11, Toast 9.01, EyeTV 3.0.3.

01) Edit using EyeTV. (Never could get Toast Video Player to recognize chapters using it to edit EyeTV files) Set play head. Click pyramid. Clicking left/right triangles set in/out points. Click left triangle & use left arrow key to scroll time line left to position accurately. Control & option keys are additional modifiers.

02) Compact video. (cog wheel thinggie, lower right)

03) Clear all markers. (cog wheel thinggie, lower right)

04) Move play head to where you want Chapter Markers. Click center pyramid. Do not separate triangles.

05) After all chapters set, Reindex Recording. NOTE: This option is only visible with OPTION key pressed when selecting cog wheel thinggie, lower right.

06) Save

07) Drag EyeTV file into Toast DVD-Video window. DO NOT EDIT video using Toast!

08) Choose whether you want individual scene menus on your disc. (More button, lower left)

09) Preferences: Audio/Video > Chapter Markers = Automatic.

10) Save as Disc Image to test
