I have several movies in AVI format. Can I use EMC 9 to convert these to DVD format?

Thanks

Depends on what version of EMC9 you have and what type of avi files there are. You need to have the correct codecs if your file is a divx or xvid.

Post back with more detailed info on your version and what type of avi files you have.

I don't believe your version supports divx and xvid but you can find out by downloading Gspot (click here) and input your avi file into Gspot and it will tell you what codecs are needed to play that file and which ones are already on your system to handle them. Even if you have the correct codecs, if I am correct, they won't work in your version of EMC9. You'll have to update it. (There's lots of sales on EMC10 now if you search.)
