Medium Error With Dvds Ive Used Before

Jeffbau

Question

I keep getting a medium error when I try to burn data disks using Matamusi Gold Dvds. These are not cheap DVDs. Here the thing: I had no trouble burning them until one day Using Roxio six they just wouldn't burn anymore. I did a system reinstall and upgraded to Roxio 10 burned one disk that worked and have not been able to burn anything since. Can anyone help me figure this out it makes no sense.

I never heard of that media, so I did a search. Nothing showed up.

At any rate, that error means the media is bad. Try some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media.

The name of the media is The MAM-A Mitsui Gold Archive DVD. They work fine on my laptop. Thesame disk won't burn on my desktop because of the medium error but will burn on my laptop. I just swaped out DVD burners on my desktop and get the same problem.

Before tossing that burner, I would still try some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media.

That's not clear, Jeff.

Did the problem follow the burner when you swapped it out, or did it stay with the desktop even when you put a different burner in there?
