Creating Chapters As Separate Files

Yes, but if I've taken 20 2 minute videos then I have to go through that process 20 times. With the original Picture Package product it automatically separates the video content. I would continue to use that but it doesn't run on x64. Is there no automatic way to do this? ECM knows about each chapter so why can't it be separated into individual files?

The Picture Package separates during capture, if I'm not mistaken.

Outputting is a different process.

You could just output the video into one file. When you go to use the file again, you can make several productions with the same file. You don't need separate files for separate chapters or productions in the future. The VideoWave and MyDVD productions just 'link' to the file.

Did you try setting up/using the scenes? Why won't that work for what you want to do? You don't need individual files; just the one with the different scenes if all you want to do is select what scenes are in which finished video.

Did you watch the video? That was a link in my post above.

Yes, I do. I should have made that clear. I'm looking to break up the chapters as separate files with EMC 10 which I have.

1) Use Video Wave; add the original file, delete what you don't want. Output what's left in the project to the format you want.(icon above preview window)

2) Repeat, add the original file, delete what you don't want. Output the project to the format you want.

3) Same as above

4) Same

Unless you overwrite the original file, it is never changed.

Or you can select scenes; watch this (link).
