Failed To Stop The Image Writing Operation

Sblackheart

Question

Help, again. I've looked for about thirty minutes and can not find an answer. This is the error message I get when I try to burn a DVD. It copies fine but fails when trying to write it. Here is the full error: Failed to start the image writing operation Error while  Burning Image

80004003 Error while  Aborting

I've tried four different movies and get the same error. I've uninstalled and re-installed it. Could it be the DVD (it's a minus R but these have worked before)?

I have a Dell Laptop with Media Center. It is an Inspiron E1705. I have Roxio 9 and was using the program "My DVD". I purchased Roxio from the manufacturer.

Help!

Thanks, guys

I followed the link, that brought me to another link; I deleted my temp files,I cleaned up my hard drive, and I still get the message: Failed to start the image writing operation Error while  Burning Image

80004003 Error while  Aborting

I was burning them fine. It must be the RW- that I'm using.????

That's possible - RW discs have a limited life span

Try making an image file to your hard disk first and see if that works - if it does, then you should be able to just double click the .iso or .c2d file produced and that will automatically write the disc for you
