Can Someone Help Me Out Here?

SimpleStarUser

Question

Hi.. I have purchased the SimpleStar Photoshow software for years. Last year I purchased Photoshow 5 both the downloaded version as well as the cd and all the themepacks. I have created 3 photoshows strictly for my own enjoyment and have never shared any on-line.

This past week I got a messgae from Roxio stating that my 'Premium' membership was up at the end of August and that if I didn't pay an additional 39.00 I would be bumped back to a 'Basic' user and that after 30 days the basic account will become inaccessible. Now, I don't recall ever being a Premium' user nor is there anyplace in my Photoshow 5 ( that I can find } where it says I am a premium user. I have only ever just upgraded my Photoshow software when upgrades were made available.

What I would like to know is will I still be able to use my photoshow 5 program like I have always used it with all the theme packs that I have also paid for? If I uninstall the program and reinstall it, am I going to be jerked around with serial numbers?

I have tried to contact Roxio but when I try to sign in it says that my password is wrong. I use the same password as I always use and have for years so I know that just alot of bull. I have also read other complaints here about not being able to get support and answers to some very simple questions.

I have paid dearly for my Photoshow programs and I will be very angry if at the end of August it no longer works like it did.

So, please..don't send me on a wild goose chase. If someone can answer this for me I'd be much abliged.

Deb,

When you purchased PhotoShow 5 you became a Premium User for one year. The only features you will no longer have at the end of the month are the ability to share shows that use premium features. All shows you have created will remain on your hard drive until you delete them.

Thanks for the reply. What I also would like to know is will I still be able to create my own personal slideshows and burn them for my own enjoyment? I don't share on-line, I just like making family photoshows.

TY again

I also have had Photoshow 5 since it came out but I had bought it through Nero. My photoshow 5 now will not let me burn DVD's. It keeps saying I need a activation code. My serial number for the program will not work. It also quite letting me edit my videos in the program, 10 seconds of any video is all I get.... I joined Photoshow on line and am completely disapointed in that. If I break down and buy Photoshow from Roxio.. will I be able to burn DVD at home. Will I have the same program on disk like I have now? Or is it all just on line. I can not afford to buy the DVD of my photo shows everytime. I have tried support but they won't answer you.... This was such a great and fun programs and now it is such a disapointment...
