Photoshow Problems Continue!

Question

After two days of trying to upload my photoshows to PhotoShow.com, I was finally successful. My emails went to my friends, but the emails do not show the picture of the photoshow. When I click watch, they will not LOAD to view!

I am able to see the picture of each of my photoshows on PhotoShow.com, but when I click "Play", they just keep loading forever and the slideshow never starts. :(

And whenever I email my old photoshows to new recipients, my photoshow is published yet again! It seems to be uploading the entire show whenever I invite someone to view it.

Can anyone tell me what is going on? Is the PhotoShow.com website giving anyone else problems?

Does Roxio chime in and help customers on any of these posts? I can't email them, I get some weird error message. This is just crazy!

Thanks.

DM, I'm having the same problem with IE 6 & 7, the photoshow 'loading' blocks just cycle forever. I tried the online support chat and was told to install the latest flash player and the chat disconnected. I checked all my machines and they HAD the latest version. I also tried to submit a service ticket and got the error code.

After playing around all day, I tried chat again. That's when I found out that even though you can log into tech support with email and password from paid Photoshow registration, you have STILL have to register as a user to submit a service ticket. Here's the link to register.

http://www.roxio.com/REGISTRATION/registration.aspx

I did that and got a confirmation email. I clicked on the link to verify and after that I was able to log in submit a service ticket without the error. I did get a confirmation email that it was recieved and have a ticket #. At the moment it's still open and the loading problem is still there.

I also posted the issue in this thread, in response to Photoshow Diva just as you did...

http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=40977

Hopefully one of those will provide a solution, but you may still try the service ticket yourself.

I tried to send a ticket. I signed in with my User ID and password. They said the User Name was invalid. Then I tried to register a new User Name and they said that I already had an account. I'm spinning my wheels here. At one point I tried to send a question to Roxio and I got an error message that looked like it was computer lingo -- but nothing that I could read or understand.

I am able to view my photoshows using the Modzilla browser (after I installed the latest Macromedia Flash 9). I recall having to download Macromedia Flash Player 9 last week for IE 6.0 and I was able to view my photoshows until last night. It seems the PhotoShow.com website (server) has been really messed up since Sunday.

I just checked and found that I have Macromedia Flash Player on my computer -- but can't identify what version it is by looking in the properties. I don't know why my photoshows won't load on my computer unless I open them with my Modzilla Firefox browser. However, I followed the directions while on Modzilla and uploaded the new version of Macromedia Flash Player 9. I just wonder why it's not working with my AOL browser or my IE 6.0 browser. It makes absolutely no sense to me.

Nonetheless, can you let me know what Roxio says about our issue if and when they respond to your ticket?

Thanks! :)

Problems I had with PhotoShow 5.0:

a. Movie could not be uploaded

b. Number of pictures/movie could not exceed 400

c. If an error show when you want to watch, make another copy of the photoshow and start over...

Photoshow 6 would not allow you to put in your own MP3.

all my problems with photoshow 5 & 6 seem to have been resolved thus far.. maybe I can help.

DM,

You may need to clear out your cookies and temporary files on internet options and restart your computer..

You may need to reinstall the PhotoShow software and see if that solves the problem.

Goodluck,

If you see an instance where a show will not play or the personalization step will not load, please clear your browser cache then try the page again (if you do not know how to do this, the help for your particular browser should provide instructions). This usually resolves the problem.

If it doesn't, submit the link for the show to us using the User Feedback link at the bottom of the page. These submissions really help us track down and debug problems if they exist. Please note that this is not a customer support channel so it is unlikely you will receive a reply, but I promise every submission is read carefully.
