nhaskins85 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Share Posted August 26, 2008 Hi I just got this software video lab10 from ROXIO and I keep trying to burn a DVD and everytime that I get to the end of the burn I keep getting, " failed to start the image writing operation ERROR while burning image 8000-4003" I really like the program but i can't not for the likfe of me to get it to burn a DVD....all the websites keep telling me to update firmware but they say it's very RISKY to do...so im scared to do it and i don't even know where to begin with that....PLEASE HELP i really dont wanna return this software I have a HP Pavillion dv2000 and on the side it also said SD-MS/Pro-MMC-XD if that helps thanks!! HP has 161 variations of dv200X; which one do you have? There should be one or more letters after the 200X. Are you sure you have a DVD burner and not a combo drive which will burn to CD but will only read from a DVD? What are you trying to burn to the DVD? What DVD blank are you using? How are you trying to burn the disc - step by step process please or read this (link) steps 10 and up. With 10, you probably have Video Copy and Convert or similar rather than MyDVD.
