Dvd Builder-no Recorder Detected

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I have read through the other posts describing this problem, but none of the posted solutions seem to work for me.

Here is my current setup:

RoxioDVD Builder1.2.0.111

TDK DVDRW0404N (Roxio came with this drive)

Latest version of Windows XP (latest SP)

I have done several uninstalls and re-installs (with the latest updates) without fixing this problem.

I have run 'roxassist', and it returns (after reboot) Success code: TBL

I have tried both DriveFixEZ_Installed & Uninstalled.

Nothing seems to get the DVD builder to see the drive.

Creater Classic doesn't seem to be able to see my CD-RW drive either.

Roxio Disc Copier gives me an error: "Cannot initialize API. Please reinstall the Roxio software".

Windows doesn't have any problem seeing either drive (DVD-RW or CD-RW).

In addition, Roxio DVDMAX player sees the DVD player just fine, and is able to play videos.

Any suggestions?

With OEM Basic versions, all support comes from the OEM provider, not Roxio. Since you tried most of the things you found here, contact the OEM provider and see what they can suggest.
