Creator 2009 should co-exist with EMC 10 on the same computer without problem. I have both runing on one of my machines. I like choices. :)

ya, but the REAL question is.....can 2009 co-exist with Norton!!! I am not going to tell my horror stories on that with EMC 10. I finally went to McAffee and all is well, but would have preferred Norton. Can't wait to find out if they will work together. I have 2009 coming in the mail any day now.

Both Norton's and McAfee registry cleaner deleted a key Roxio registry key. There were several cures posted for that issue. I'm surprised that you didn't have that same rpoblem with McAfee.

So far the bugs/unexpected behaviour I've found with EMC 2009 are the same as in 10.1.

Main bugs or unexpected behaviour common to both EMC 10.1 and 2009:

Label Creator 10 and 2009 will open each others' .jwl (project) files, but not those created with earlier versions of EMC. The latter either generate an error message or frezze/crash label creator.

In Videowave, if you have transitions between photos or clips and right click on one, click on set duration time, click apply to all, it not only changes the duration time for all but also changes all the transitions to the one you selected.

In Photosuite, although the print page offers contact sheet it does not work as expected if you have multiple photos loaded. To print a real contact sheet of multiple photos, you have to use the Proint photos from the home app.

I haven't tried all the apps in 2009 yet.

They are running side by side on my PC without problems. Installing EMC 2009 does remove the version of cineplayer from 10.1 (installs its own) and also replaces the back on track of version 10.1

all the cures I was aware of were to do a full uninstall, clean install, follow the complete instructions posted, yada yada. I did all those steps a couple of times, to the point where I had to do the dreaded reformat to get everything working again. The last time, I just bought McAfee and haven't had ANY problems with EMC 10. I was running EMC 9, with norton systemworks in the past on XP, and also on Vista when it came out. All was fine, until SOMETHING happened one day, and it was a mess.

What I find with Roxio is that it either works great (my case most of the time), or it acts real 'buggy'.
