Maybe the same problem/solution but probably not

Question

I'm having the same problem..... EXCEPT, it gets to the end of the dvd before I get the error. This exact, same error didn't start until 2 months ago. I've tried everything from the microsoft knowledge base, all (or actually have checked most)of the suggestions in previous post, but to no anvil. Anyhow, here's my system info.... Hope someone can help me. I actually feel kinda stupid.... All this running around the web, then my partner says "Hey! Why don't you check the Roxio website and see if they have a forum!" <_< lol.... So here I am! Any more info you need, please let me know!! Also, on another topic, can someone please explain to me, in a simple breakdown, how to create a ISO or image file, since from what I've read, it seems to be able to make/burn dvd's faster than the convert/burn option. F.Y.I I have ALL the available updates, drivers and hotfixes thru microsoft, and roxio. I've checked for processor updates and grapics updates, as well as checked and updated my dvd/cd drives but still have that same problem. Also..... What can I do about the buffer over run thing? I've seen the post on it also but.... Well.... Not really sure how to correct that. Should I try burning at a lower speed?

Don't wanna have to do a clean install, unless I REALLY have to. But..... Maybe I won't have to, if you'd be so kind as to tell me what these two errors are, and how to correct them. You guys (and ladies) are awesome, helping folks like me fix these kinds of errors. The geek squad wanted to charge me $100 bucks to just SEE what the issue is!! lol I understand I'm trying all this at my own risk but $100 dollars to tell me something I already know is happening, and then not even fixing the problem is just ludacris. I'm thru with my rant now.....lol Thanks again you guys, for all your help and advice.

1st Error. Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Program: C\:Programfiles\Roxio\VideoUI 10\Videowave10.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information

2nd Error, almost right after I closed the 1st error:

Microsoft Windows

Videowave 10 has stopped working.

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

By the way, windows didn't have a solution to either of the errors. Do I really HAVE to do a clean install? lol

First step to try is to Software Rendering – MyDVD – Tools – Options – Render.

Also make sure you have good media and not using store trash! Verbatim is one we rarely hear any complaints about.

If that makes no difference, then run through the Clean Install – Here

Pay the +$100 or do the clean install, your choice...

If you set a Restore Point before starting the clean install, you can always go back.

Hey Jim. Just wanted to thank you for all your help. Turns out, the clean install did indeed, do the trick. It was a lot of work and it took time but I got it done and now the program works fine! I DID however, have to set the render option to software, instead of hardware, to make it not hang up. I think you said in another post to set that up also. Thank you so much for all your help and advice. I just read my last post and I hope you didn't take offense to my last post. I didn't mean to sound ungrateful and act like I was mad that I had to do a clean install. I was just so aggravated and upset about the program acting up. Your help was far better than the help I got from the Microsoft knowledge base. Then that geek squad service was a joke..... The insult was at them, not you. Again, thank you for all your help, for folks like us that don't understand the whole technical side of programs the way you guys do.

Hope you're having an awesome Labor Day week!

Corey
