Thank you. After about 1/2 hour of searching, the better question might be "Are there any A/D converter boxes that work with Vista 64?. I can't find one but perhaps an alternate? Perhaps you can find a cheap (example) or used VHS to DVD recorder. I'm assuming that is what you have. Is EMC 10 working OK for you with Vista 64? Jim_Hardin
Anything that connects with a Firewire should do the trick. Firewire just works, everything else need drivers… I use a DataVideo DAC 100 converter but I see they have stopped making them.
gary b
Look at Best Buy or Circuit City For Pinnacle's Dazzle Video Creator Plus. It's just what you are looking for. Gary

Edit: Yep, I just checked again and that device (and other devices) don't work with Vista 64.

Hi there Skinis,I am looking at the minimum system requirements for the Dazzle Videocreator capture device and it lists Vista as one of the minimum requirements.I might be misinterpreting but to me it seems usable. Gary Vista 32 bit YES Vista 64 bit (that the OP has) NO. See specs here. Do you have Vista 64 bit that you are asking questions in your threads? gi7omy
I don't use any Pinnacle software so I can't comment - just thought that you should see some other opinions on the device - it would appear there are driver problems but I can't in honesty confirm or deny that

Gary If you can buy the device without the software (or just with the OEM software) and you do not have Vista 64 then the device will be OK. You may still need to install a video card as suggested in the other thread. The Dazzle DVC 90 and DVC 100 were included in the deluxe packages of EMC9 and EMC10.
