Where's My Content?

Question

Hi,

I just purchased Popcorn 3 and I thought that I had successfully burned video from an existing DVD to a new recordable DVD. However, when I checked the newly burned DVD, there were only video and audio files on the DVD. No icon to play the video.

Did I do something wrong? Isn't it supposed to be a quicktime file? Is there an easy way to fix this?

Thanks!

If what you're seeing on the disc is a VIDEO_TS folder and AUDIO_TS folder then you have a video DVD. This is played with DVD Player on your Mac.

If what you were wanting is something that can be played with a movie player such as QuickTime Player then you need to use one of the "Player" options in Popcorn rather than a "DVD" option. When you do this and click the red button you'll be given a choice of what format you want to convert the video. Unless you have Toast you'll have to use Disk Utility or the Finder to burn a data disc with those converted videos. Popcorn only burns discs that are formatted for playback in video DVD players.
