Titles And Credits

Magnum Mac

Question

Hello again all,

I'm starting to get to work on my videos again per my other topic on here... http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=42073.

I'm going to try doing a few videos in VideoWave per suggestions. The problem that I'm running into now is I'm having a hard time finding where to insert titles and credits for each part of the video. If somebody can point this out for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. I couldn't find it in the "Help" section either within the program. Thanks in advance.

Frank, thank you for the input. I'll give that a shot in the morning, errr, later on this morning since it's 2:25 while typing this. I'm also going to see what Frank comes up with to my answer.

Magnum Mac,

Frank provided you one way of creating credit/titles.

Do you want text/credit to appear before the video is shown, or do you want text to show while the video is playing?

Malatekid,

I would like to have it be it's own section before the video is shown. I would like to have them be together. The way I did it before in the videos I had been working on was in Windows MovieMaker. I would import a video into the "collections", place it all onto the timeline then make the titles and credits using the "tools" option.

I would like to have it done the same way in VideoWave. Again, per my post about the problem I originally had above, I'm trying to take the advice of the other guys in using VideoWave.

Not sure if this is what you are after, but in the Videowave program, insert a color panel (right click on one of the panels and choose "add color panel"). Then with that panel highlighed, click on the "add text effect" (left side menu). You should get a series of options for the type of text you want to add among other things. One of the options is "credits" and another one "Classic Credits" (at least that's what it was named in EMC10).

If you choose "Classic Credits" and then make sure that you have also chosen the text to be "Still" rather than motion, you should get a screen where you can add the credits for your production. Hope that helps.
