I can view this file on the window's regular video viewer. I have exhausted everything I can think of to solve this and any hep would be appreciated. I installed the divx drivers mentioned above, and disbaled the xdic drivers. There is no difference. But I have found out that if I use Roxio Video Copy and Convert, and not MyDVD it works, so since I don't need the fancy menu stuff of MyDVD I can limp by with this. I don't believe you answered the question as to whether other xvid files work fine for you. I also wonder if updating the AC3Filter would help but I'm not too sure about if that will make any difference.
