There Was A Problem Writing To A Disc

I am unable to burn cd's using roxio easy media creator 10

 

I get the following message: There was a problem writing to the disc. You can try again by clicking the Retry button. You will need another blank disc ready. I already clicked retry and incerted a new blank disc.

I am using Windows Vista Ultimate, 2GB Ram, Toshiba Qosmio

What application are you using to write to your disc? What brand disc? What speed are you trying? Have you ever successfully burned a cd w/ EMC10?

None of the applications in Roxio Creator 10 let me burn cd's and i have always had this problem. I used 4x speed and the brand of the discs are TDK.

 

I am also using Roxio Creator 10.1.226 Build 112B26A,R03

What is the make and model of your CD drive?

Sense: 03 ASC: 0C is WRITE ERROR. There's no further information given Helpful, isn't it.

TOSHIBA DVDW/HD TS-L802A ATA Device

That's an external drive, isn't it? Is it a USB connection?

 

Have you managed to properly write a CD on it with your Operating System's built-in burning system, or with any other burning software?

It is a internal drive and I have been able to burn music cd's using iTunes 8 so I dont know what the problem is with roxio buring cd's...
