Introductory Title

REBoss

Question

I'm new to Videowave. I had been using MS MovieMaker. So this may be a dumb question, but in Videowave, how do I add introductory text with plain blue background? I want to add introductory text before fading/dissolving into video clips. Credits/Titles in the end as well, how do I do that in videowave?

Thanks...

In Videowave, right click on the first empty panel and choose to select a color panel. On top of the preview window, clcik to add text. You can adjust settings for the text.

In Videowave:

1) fade in -- insert a black color panel followed by a Dissolve transition before the clip

2) fade out -- insert a black color panel preceded by a Dissolve transition after the clip

Thanks, and I was able to do that. Now am figuring how to save the video clip to where I can upload to youtube.

If u have a ready answer, let me know. As I said I'm used to MS Moviemaker which I save to wmv, but here I see it is to different file name.

Thanks again.

You can see me in www.edsalert.com which I have been using MS Movie in vlogs. I am now trying out videowave to see if video quality is bit better or not.

Thanks again...

For uploading to YouTube, you have to create a video file out of your Videowave production (maybe as wmv or mpg file). Click the film reel icon in Videowave (check youtube for other acceptable format).

Once you have the video file created, open Media manager, navigate to the folder where the created wmv/mpg is located, right click on that file and one of the options is to upload to YouTube. Of course you should have an account with youtube to be able to upload.

Ok..when I save as, it offers only one option dmsm file - I could not figure out how to save it as wmv or mpg file which by the way YouTube accepts. I have account with YouTube - have done over 50 video clips. Do I need to convert the dmsm to wmv or mpg file? If so, how?

Again, thanks for taking time to bear with ignorant guy like me.

Yeah, I see the film reel icon which offers wide variety of files to save to. I chose the one with TV and NTSC and to save it as mpeg 2 (said good quality for TV) and will try that and see how it works.

Thanks a bunch!

Will try it out and see how it works...

Last question. Do u know if videowave can do Chromega effect?

REBoss

No, the dmsm file saves only the editing instructions. It is not a video file.

I am not in front of a PC with the software but try, from menu bar, File->Output As. The other way is to click the film reel icon above the Videowave preview screen.

You have to check with YouTube to see what the requirements are for uploading. I am pretty sure that"output for TV" is not acceptable since it will create to large a file.

You can also search this forum for "youTube" and you will get lots of hits.

It was a large file, but it accepted the video clip I uploaded to YouTube. Next time, I'll try a different output file and see how it goes. I appreciate y'all helping me out.

I'm still learning on how to use that....

Cheers...
