Image Size Exceeds The Maximum File Size

G....

Question

Working with EMC9 trying to burn DVD (DL) and recieve a message "The image size exceeds the maximum file size on the volume." prior to this another window pops up stating "The image file is estimated to be larger than 4GB, which is the maximum file size possible on the selected Fat32 drive. Are you sure you want to continue?" What am I doing wrong? My burner is capable of burning Dual layer. If I do not have something set right, please advise.

Thanks,

G....

Your hard drive is obviously formatted for FAT32 which has a 4GB file limit. In order to get past this you will need to change to the NTFS file system.

It's easy and usually painless but you should take full precautions before doing this. You can find some helpful info here.

4Gb filesize is the limitation of Fat32 File system. Sounds like your boot partition is Fat32. You might have to convert your existing partition to NTFS. Just curious what application under EMC 9 are you using?

I am using "My DVD"

Thanks for the expedited response guys. I will look into converting my partition.
