Set-top DVD player won't play burned DVD

george9164

Question

I am having a similar problem but my dvd successfully burned because I can replay it in windows media player but my dvd player just keeps 'reading'. I do have all the files in explorer and created it in slideshow assistant. Easy cd and dvd creator 9.0.. I also created a video and put it on another dvd but with the same results in my dvd player. My dvd player in not new but not old either. It is dvd-r compatible, cd-r compatible, and window media player compatible. After it went through the whole process it ejected. I tried to close it but it just ejects again. i checked the disk and it says it is closed. Thoughts

There seems to be some incompatibility problem between the DVD media you are using and your stand-alone dvd player. Since you can play the DVD through WMP there was nothing wrong with the burn

What DVD media re you using? Among the most reliable are Verbatim

BTW, you posted to a 6 months old thread and most posters will never see it. Also posting in the EMC 9 forum might have been better unless you really have the "Easy CD and DVD Burning (in Red Box) "Vista Compatible" version.
