Creating An Itunes Audiobook

Steve_Jones

Question

Hi, I have creator 2009 installed on Vista and I am trying to create an iTunes audiobook. I have iTunes V8 installed on computer. On Roxio Audiobook Creator I am not getting an option of outputting to iTunes. Is Creator 2009 compatbile with iTunes 8 or am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure that compatable is the correct word. ITunes has specific limitations on DRM protected files. It is possible that, just like music files, you cannot output to that source (and probably vice versa.)

Google for an answer; there are lots of help tips including this one.

Thanks, thats useful and gives an alternative but I thought the roxio tool would output directly to itunes provided itunes was installed first (which it was). Even before I start working with any files, protected or not, itunes is not appearing in the output icon list - this is contrary to what is shown in the official roxio tutorial document. Don't know what the problem is

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing iTunes? Itunes should appear as a part of "Output to" if the installation for iTunes is detected.

What fixed it for me was installing the lastest iTunes updates (8.0.1.11) and restarting my PC. Of course, reinstalling will achieve the same result.
