It looks very cryptic to me, too!! ?? !! A bit like an Adobe Encore error.

Can you tell us please:

(1) What software suite you have [check Help > About this software to get version and build numbers]

(2) What sort of a CD you're trying to make?

(3) What application in the suite [the name is usually on the top frame of the application's screen] you're using to do it?

(4) What your source material is ? [an audio CD, audio files, movie clips . . whatever?]

Hopefully we can then work out what is happening, and why.

2.) i am making a DVD of videos i downloaded from youtube

3- um.. i am using my dvd- DVD-video

4- they are all mpeg 1 videos

hope those were the right answers... thanks for ur help

You are posting in the EMC 9 forum but state you are using myDVD 6. Which is it?

Also that error message is a definite Adobe Encore error message (as Brendon indicated) and has nothing to do with Roxio.

I think we have a problem. Walt. :(

That text is embedded in Sonic Solutions AUTHORSCRIPT.DLL, and I can't find that DLL in my version 6, 7, 7.5, or 8 systems - only in EMC 9.x, in MyDVD9.

It is present in 9/0 and 9.1, and two different versions of it can be found in:

C:\Program File\Common Files\Roxio Shared\9.0\Roxio Central33\BDAV and in

C:\Program Files\Roxio\Media Experience

-so it seems it's a Roxio/Sonic problem, not an Adobe problem.

It's a huge DLL - 24 MB+ but I'm not getting much further with what it does, and why it has got its toga in a knot.

A similar error message was reported in other forums (mainly DVDit and Sonic Solutions). Those error messages have something like "...\Vobulator\BlockPlanner|..." instead of "..\Vobulator\TitlePlanner\..".

A google search seems to show that "AUTHORSCRIPT.DLL" is used by many programs.

A strange one for sure.
