Create A Bootable Disc From An .iso File

markag

Question

I've got an .iso file that I need to make bootable so I can run it when the computer starts up before the the OS loads. How do I do that with EMC 10? I was able to burn the image, but it is not bootable. I assume it is possible, I just am not sure how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

To be bootable the disc needs to boot to some kind of OS,whether that be DOS,PC-Dos,XP,Linux or something else.

Once it has an OS it can use then it can start an executable file.If you use Creator Classic you still need a bootable image or disc to start with that it can copy files from.

Try Google and search for create bootable disc.

Microsoft does have an article that shows how to make an XP boot floppy.

Well, I actually got it to work. I feel a little ignorant for even starting this thread in the first place. I had forgot to set my CDDrive to boot first in the BIOS and so it booted directly from the hard drive and I thought there was something wrong with the disc. Turns out everything works just fine.

Glad it worked out.
