msmofet60
i am having problems starting my roxio 10. i suspect it is caused by frostwire and/or limewire. i uninstalled them and i still can not start roxio. has anyone else had this problem? there are also files left behind by these programs which i can not delete. should i uninstall roxio and then reinstall it? this is driving me crazy. is there a way for me to have frostwire and be able to run roxio? Your computer may be loaded with viruses, malware, and spyware from the Limewire and Frostwire. Time to run some checks.

Yes, those are my grandkids. The picture is 3 years old. I don't download music, but I have fixed a few machines that were riddled with viruses and malware/spyware, which came with some Limewire downloads. The first thing that I did was get Limewire off the machines.

That's great! Also, make sure that you have McAfee set up to ignore Roxio entries.

There are a lot of very good internet radio stations that you can listen to and capture. Pandora and Live365 are two of them. Use the Roxio "Easy Audio Capture" application.. You have to capture the audio as a file rather than downloading a file but at least it is more legal and no worries about bad stuff. Pandora allows you to select an artist and they will play that artist and a bunch of others in the same genre. Live 365 has a bunch of radio stations of different genres. You might see if there is anything there for your children.
gi7omy
I have had to 'repair' more computers than enough with the entire system being totally messed up and the one thing they had in common was an installation of limewire.
