Audio Still Out Of Sync On Mac Using Toast 9 / Tivo Hd Series 3

fooferah

Question

Hi all, I posted this in the Toast 9 forum as well. Thought someone over here might have the same issue.

I'm still having issues with the audio being out of sync with the video using Tivo Transfer and Toast.

System and video information are as follows:

MacBook 2.2ghz

2GB RAM

OS 10.5.5

Toast 9.0.2

Video: 720p 59.94

I have tested this on the a PC and the audio plays perfectly in sync, including burning to a DVD. On the mac, however, the same .Tivo file is not in sync.

I've emailed Roxio support directly, but in the response, they recommended that I use CD Spin Doctor to sync the audio. Seems a bit odd and not quite on topic.

Anyone out there have this issue and, hopefully, solved it?

Thanks.

I have had the same problems with Toast 8.0.4 for almost a year.

I am transferring programs from my TiVo Series 2 to my Mac using TiVo Transfer and then using the "Toast It" function to make DVDs. The DVDs are out of sync by about one-half second or more at the end of a one-hour show. I am using custom encoding settings. I have had sync problems with Toast on both OS 10.4.11 and now on OS 10.5.5. The same programs maintain sync perfectly when I play them using the Video Player app built into TiVo Transfer.

I wrote Roxio about this earlier in the year but never received an answer.
