MV Dad
I would like to be able to use music that I have downloaded (and paid for) as sound track for home slideshows, but VideoWave does not recognize these files. Any recommendations on how to do this?
MV Dad
Where did you download the tunes from and in what format are they? If iTunes, then I believe there are some software programmes that will convert them (you will need to research and pay out some money for the chance to try) but frankly, I wouldn't bother - more trouble than it is worth. iTunes and Apple software on Windows PCs causes more hassle than it is worth. Better to buy the commercial CDs and rip off the tracks you want to use in your non-commercial private, self only DVDs GBR iTunes and Rhapsody, it doesn't seem to matter. I think I have come to the same conclusion, but the CD! Thanks.
malatekid
If they are copy-protected (DRM), you will not be able to use them for home made slideshows.
Larry
As mentioned, if these are purchases from places like iTunes, they are likely copy protected and can only be used by that program. Usually all the license allows you to do is burn them to a cd-r or cd-rw to make Audio discs. If you have some Audio discs with the music you want to use, you should be able to use EMC 10 to 'rip' that music to files on your computer (recommend .wav myself), then use those files in a production.
