Maybe not the same problem?

KnarfOH

Question

I have now solved this problem, with a little help from LiveChat with a Roxio technician. I had to move a folder from \Roxio to \Roxio Creator 2009 and then delete the Roxio folder. Then I managed to start the program from the RoxioCentralFx.exe file in the \Roxio Creator 2009 directory.

You posted this earlier message in the forum. Later you said you copied one folder to another and it solved your problem. I wish you had said EXACTLY what folder you copied and EXACTLY where you copied it to. I am having the same problem you are (or it appears that way). Please help me and I will offer a prayer and light candles for you next time I go to church.

The forum is most helpful when people help each other and I appreciate you found a solution and I am happy for you.

The only folder I have under the ROXIO directory is BackOnTrack and under that folder are File Backup, Help and Main

Please help ! Thanks in advance !

I'm having same problems...can you tell us what file or folder to move, and where to move from and to?

On these forums it is a better idea to start your own thread. You may or may not have the same problem as Ken. If you want him to respond, send him a private message or, better still, contact Roxio via live chat so they can diagnose the problem and give you the correct fix.

Ken was last seen about 4 days ago so he is still around but may not have looked at this old thread since he did have a fix that worked.

I did send KEN a PM and he responded with the exact information. Unfortunately, while it helped him, it did not help me. I requested and received a refund for Creator 2009 and I have moved on.

VISTA has been the downfall of a once great suite of programs for me. I don't know who to blame: Microsoft or ROXIO. It just seems too many people have problems. I say that knowing many more have not had problems I guess.

I agree, the person posting the message should PM Ken and ask him what the successful solution was for him.

I tried to use ROXIO support but after 4 days and no response, I gave up on their support and relied on those in this FORUM to help. They tried. I tried. But no luck in getting Creator 2009 to work for me.

The live chat was just a regurgitation of what others had already posted in the FORUM to try. LOL, then they told me open a trouble ticket. By then, I had given up since my first trouble ticket had not receive a response within 4 days.

PM Ken and ask him directly. He was helpful to me, just didn't solve my problems.

Sorry it didn't work for you, and good luck with whatever you use.
