Autorun, Launch, Etc, Files On Cd?

savagcl

Question

When i insert a cd into my PC, made by RC 10, it will automatically starts playing on my default player.

Looking using windows explorer (only way to look at the cd without it starting to play) i see several files:

1. favs1, (songs folder name)

2. autorun.inf,

3. launch.exe

4. playlist.m3u

Question: Is there a way to not have the cd automatically start playing (allowing me to pick which

player i want to use?

In other words, Can i create an MP3 cd without the autorun, launch and playlist files being present on the cd?

thanks,

savagcl

You need to use a different program in the Suite!

I don't V10 loaded anymore, but you should be able to find Roxio Music Disc Creator. It will make an mp3 disc w/o the Autorun.

And thanks for the info, I never realized that the Home app, "Burn MP3 CDs" would make an Autiorun!

That worked, thanks. but i got an awful lot of "File Not Found" messages for a bunch of .PNG files.

Any idea what thats about?

I accepted all the defaults when installing.

Thanks again,

png files are image files. It is possible that the program was looking for album cover images.
